FRUITLAND TWP., MICH. — A blueberry farmer who only recently added security cameras at his farm may have captured images of kidnapping and murder suspect Jeffrey Willis the morning of April 16.

Detectives told Frank Coles that video of a van that passed his farm on Weber Road was needed in the investigation into an attempted abduction several days earlier. Coles says the van in question passed by his farm going south and later turned around in his circle drive.

According to Coles, the man driving the van slowly passed one of Coles’ cameras with the driver-side window rolled down, “and so they got some pretty good shots of the fellow, I believe.”

Coles says detectives didn’t tell him if the video is from before or after a 16-year-old girl, with help from another woman, called 911 to report she was nearly taken by a man who pointed a gun at her.
