As a SWAT team sweeps the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center, Detroit police released photos this afternoon showing a man in a suit and an x-ray image showing a possible revolver.

The unidentified man, described as white, in his 40s and wearing a dark suit, could still be in the building, which includes Detroit City Hall and Wayne County offices as well as courtrooms. The center is closed for the rest of the day. It went on lockdown at about 8:45 a.m. Evacuations have continued as police work to clear the building.

The bag was x-rayed and the man was allowed to pass into the building before guards realized he may have a gun, Detroit Police Chief James Craig said. No injuries or shootings have been reported.

The streets surrounding the building have been closed to civilians.

Anyone with information on the man in the image below is asked to please call Detroit Police at 313-596-1616.
